
let’s talk: 2020 GOALS
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Sending today’s LTRE later in the day this week because let’s face it… who the heck wants to read an email at 7:30 AM on New Year’s Day?!
Today marks the start of a new decade and for some reason, that feels like even more pressure to hit the ground running?!
While we should really always be evolving and bettering ourselves daily…. that is NOT realistic (at least for me), so what better time than the start of a new year to do some serious self reflection & goal setting! I love a clean slate.
So, as we do, let’s talk Real Estate, let’s talk 2020 GOALS…
I am just going to dive into it and share some of MY goals with you in hopes to create accountability for myself, and maybe relate and bond with some of you over YOUR goals!
#1 RENOVATE MORE HOMES
Project Philadelphia was my first MAJOR renovation and it took WAY TOO LONG. I was a TOTAL newbie in every aspect of this project. The good news is, we hit so many hiccups that it taught us a TON. So I am excited to take those learnings into the next project!
#2 RENT OUT & REFINANCE PROJECT PHILADELPHIA
We finished construction! Next step is to rent this bad boy out, refinance it and let it CASH FLOW. We are BRRRR-ing (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat) here now people. Unless someone wants to make us an offer we cannot refuse?!
#3 ACQUIRE AT LEAST 2 MORE PROPERTIES FOR OUR BINGHAMTON CREW
To be honest, that was our 2019 goal and we (I) did not hit it. We each made an initial investment of a set amount of $$ 18 months ish ago and used that to buy two cashflowing properties. The plan was to just let these bad boys cash flow, and build up enough dough to be able to acquire another property or two. We reinvest EVERYTHING we make. We were able to take our earnings this year to buy another property back in April, and should have been able to buy a second one as well, however we have one “problem” property (aka it always needes maintenance) that we dumped almost $25k worth of profit into for the year so bye bye chance of a second acquisition. Fingers crossed that we got all of the maintenance hiccups out of the way in 2019 so that we can go back to GROWING.
#4 GROW & FURTHER BUILD OUT THE LTRE COMMUNITY
This means my website, the LTRE community, providing more resources, connecting with others on social media etc. I want to be able to CONNECT and learn with more of you!
#5 GET HEALTHY
Mentally, physically, emotionally, etc. I let 2019 get the best of me post wedding (oops) so I am ready to put my health FIRST and feel good.
